Thales, a global leader in defense and aerospace technologies, values workplace collaboration — and good food is part of the equation. To show appreciation for their employees' hard work and dedication, the company introduced a recurring meal program at three of its U.S. locations. But without a coordinated approach, feeding employees five days a week became a logistical nightmare.
Each office handled meals separately, relying on different vendors and ordering methods. There was no centralized system, so the procurement team struggled to track food spend. Admins juggled catering orders directly with restaurants, all while trying to meet the diverse schedules and preferences of 955 employees.
We spoke with Rosa Vega Sing, the Operations Department Assistant at Thales' Orlando office, to understand the challenges her location faced. From feeding workers across multiple shifts, to keeping track of one-off invoices and receipts, Rosa detailed how ezCater streamlined ordering and budgeting across all three Thales office locations.
