For those who dare to dream bigger, Atlanta’s charming Terminus 330 was the place to be last Thursday for our traveling forum called ezChats. The event, which caters to restaurant operators, is part of a series that jumps from city to city. The ezChats event was at once relaxed and educational, with the air of Atlanta’s Southern charms. A crowd of event-goers sat down to listen to a panel of high-profile restaurant execs on the stage. As late afternoon sunlight filled the room, panelists took turns talking about the opportunities of the buzzy huge market called “off-premises dining.” The relatively untapped market last year raked in $228 billion—demonstrating a “mic drop” to the restaurant industry. Restaurants have the potential to capture some of that revenue. At ezChats Atlanta, panelists discussed ways to do that.
The mission of the ezChats series is to educate restaurant operators across the nation, who are often too busy with kitchen orders to swap stories, insights, and business strategies with their community. This year the ezChats tour is scheduled to pop up in big cities across the nation.
