We’re just one week away from Administrative Professionals Day and are thrilled to announce the finalists for the 2017 Office Hero of the Year Award! Narrowing down the nominations to just four finalists was no easy task. We received hundreds of inspiring nominations for Office Heroes all over the country. So, how did we choose? We judged nominations based on the impact the nominee has on their organization and the quality of stories we received.
This year, we’re looking to you to help us choose the winner! Meet our four finalists below and place your vote for your favorite!
Alicia Carelli
Job: Executive Assistant
Company: Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Location: Cambridge, MA
What we love about Alicia:
If we had to choose one word to describe Alicia, it would be resourceful. On top of supporting a busy executive, she supports a student center of 120 students. Alicia finds a way to get everything done – even if that means walking with her boss between meetings or across campus to catch up.
“Alicia enables EVERYONE in the center to function effectively by keeping Bill on task, maximizing his time to accomplish everything he needs to do, and ensuring staff have the info they need to do their jobs. Our office would be absolutely lost without her.”
Anna Forcier
Job: Marketing Administrative Assistant
Company: Title Source
Location: Detroit, MI
What we love about Anna:
Anna isn’t afraid of challenging herself and is a master at learning new skills. She went from answering phones, to a concierge team member, to an administrative assistant in record time. Her passion is helping people and she goes out of her way to keep her team connected.
“Anna helps all of us keep track of ways we can support one another and better ourselves. Her compassion is so contagious that it spreads throughout the team. I’ve bonded more with my team because of Anna’s ability to connect people.”
Danielle Tallman
Job: Market Development Specialist
Company: Buffalo Wild Wings
Location: Minneapolis, MN
What we love about Danielle:
Danielle is the queen of efficiency. If she sees a process that has too many steps or can be automated, she’ll put in the time to make the process easier. If a team member is working on a project, she’ll make sure that information is shared so efforts are never duplicated.
“Danielle has her finger on the pulse of what is going on and where there are gaps in the planning. She has stayed late, come in early and gone above and beyond to make sure that our field people are well taken care of.”
Stephanie Powley
Job: Office Manager
Company: Seer Interactive
Location: Philadelphia, PA
What we love about Stephanie:
Stephanie is fast, efficient, and loves the people she works with. She received a record number of nominations and it’s easy to understand why: She manages two offices located on opposite sides of the country, and she’s the Executive Assistant to the CEO and COO.
“No one knows how she does it, but she does. Stephanie continues to single-handedly manage both our offices on the east coast and the west coast. She is always one step ahead of us, thinking about the unforeseen and handling disruptions like a champ! Steph is amazing and we could not be more thankful to have her!”
