Le Pain Quotidien catering means so much more than just expertly crafted croissants and artisanal sandwiches for your next office grab-and-go. The food is an invitation to savor the source of your sustenance. Their cooking welcomes slow eating. Their dishes inspire conversation. They hope you take the time to appreciate every moment and enjoy.
While defining the brand and philosophy of Le Pain Quotidien, chef and founder Alain Coumont thought back to his childhood in Belgium. He remembered his grandmère welcoming him to her house on frigid days with a small bowl of steaming hot chocolate, its warmth rising to his hands. (Inc. notes how far ahead of the bowl trend this granny was!) He remembered his family’s slow Sunday meals of excellently prepared food—his parents owned a restaurant, and his aunt made incredible pastries and breads. He remembered how the comfort of the long family table encouraged them to stay awhile.
And so Le Pain Quotidien—French for “the daily bread”—recreates those warm memories, feeding all who sit at the table. The same feeling of comfort infuses the spirit behind Le Pain Quotidien catering.

Your Le Pain Quotidien catering order of savory soup, fluffy egg quiche, or colorful salad always includes a side of the signature artisan bread Coumont is most known for. Made from organic stone-ground wheat flour, sea salt, water, and a wild yeast starter, every loaf is hand-kneaded and baked in a stone-lined oven.
The special bread is also the base for their large menu of traditional sandwiches and tartines—a Belgian open-faced sandwich—topped simply but full of flavorful combinations like sweet Paris smoked ham and aged gruyere cheese, or lightly roasted turkey and avocado. Or go for filling options on a crispy baguette. Whether picking vegetarian artichoke and hummus or rich smoked salmon and ricotta cheese, the three “daily bread” options mean delicious sandwiches to indulge in and talk about!
Hello, Fresh!
Coumont also believes that the best food comes from fresh, simple ingredients that are prepared well. So Le Pain Quotidien catering’s breakfast and lunch menus are all made with the freshest ingredients and prepared daily in-house.
For breakfast or brunch events, pastries include cheese danishes, muffins, scones, croissants, pain au chocolate, and organic breads. All pastries are served with organic butter, and house-made jams and spreads. Quiche come with your choice of goat cheese and seasonal vegetables or a classic Quiche Lorraine of ham, gruyere cheese, and sweet melted leeks.
Their energy-packed grain bowls and salads feature grains like quinoa and farro, which offer texture and flavor as well as sustenance. Fresh seasonal vegetables are shaved thin so that they’re extra crunchy and sweet. This is then tossed with spicy arugula or mild mesclun greens, creamy avocado, sharp fennel, and sun-kissed tomatoes.

Le Pain Quotidien catering encourages socialization. Look to their communal baskets, platters, boards, and DIY-bars whenever you want your guests to slow down and enjoy a sprawling conversation with one another.
For breakfast meetings, create a spread of mini croissant sandwiches, pastries, and muffins with parfait bars, oatmeal, and platters of seasonal quiche. Come lunchtime, determine how big the appetite of your guests might be—trays of sandwiches and bowls of soups and salads scale to fit the size of your party. Desserts inspire conversation, too. An indulgent and eye-catching board of Belgian brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and fresh strawberries can only ignite a shared exclamation of “yum.”
But the Le Pain Quotidien catering team makes sure all who need wholesome, healthy sustenance are well fed. And so for focused events, their breakfast menu also offers an individual savory croissant sandwich box with a fruit cup and drink. And their lunch box pairs an enticing assortment of baguette sandwiches with a side of grain salad, mini brownie and cookie, and drink.
“My idea was simple, having a place where I can feel home … away from home,” Coumont says of founding Le Pain Quotidien in 1990. With more than 200 locations now worldwide, enjoy bringing Le Pain Quotidien catering into your home away from home, too.
